These programs are designed to improve the health status of individual in the community we serve. The interdisciplinary approach helps to build strong individuals, families and community.


Never Too Old To Learn

This program offer activities, support and information to people 55 and older to help them stay happy and healthy.


Eat, Drink & Be Yourself

Caregivers learn nutritious and exciting recipes that will help their families maintain a healthy lifestyle.


Healthy Cooking

This 6-week program promotes healthy eating on a tight budget. It provides parents with purchasing and meal preparation tips to ensure nutritious eating.


International Cooking

This program teaches people to prepare a variety of cultural dishes, while improving nutritional knowledge.


Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (English and Spanish)

This skills building program provides both individual and group counseling sessions to help clients cope with emotional conditions such as depression and anxiety.


Monthly Mental Health Support Group (Spanish)

This monthly program provides support to the participants who completed the Best Program.


Yoga

This program, provided through a skilled instructor, offers an opportunity to restore mind, body and spirit through stress reduction and exercise.


Supporting Newcomers

We provide information, referrals and support to newcomer individuals and families.


Women’s Night Out

This program offers women of all ages an opportunity to learn about issues that affect their health and wellbeing in a relaxing atmosphere.


Art Therapy for parents of Teenagers

The program will explore the following issues: understanding adolescence; parent’s self-esteem; challenges and rewards of being a teen’s parent; communication; family relationships, and how we learn to be parents.


Parent Violence Intervention Program (Funded by the Ministry of Education)

This project will build skills among parents to deal with community violence and its impact on their child’s learning through the development of community workshops. Click here to download a copy of the program flyer. 

Healthy Lifestyle

This eight-week program will be offered during the spring. Its goal is to increase knowledge around a healthy body weight and healthy eating (nutrition).
