Promoting Excellence program In partnership with Caring Village, this program provides support to students as risk of dropping out of school. BCCHC is the trustee of 3-year funding received from Ontario Trillium Foundation (2007-2010).
In partnership with Toronto Public Health and Y-Connect, this program aims to encourage girls to participate in science & technology initiatives while maintaining good health. Funding for 3 years (2008-2011) of this project is from Youth Challenge Fund, for which BCCHC is trustee.
In partnership with CGA – Ontario – Toronto Chapter, the Centre facilitates the completion of Annual Tax Returns for people who live in our catchment area and receive under $20,000 income annually.
An umbrella group created to ensure that health inequities are reduced by
health service providers who serve diverse populations by providing
strategic advice to the Central LHIN through its CEO. A staff member from
BCCHC was seconded to develop a Community of Practice pilot on Diversity
and Inclusion and will participate in on-going activities of the group,
pending funding allocation.
