for our Board of Directors!

Black Creek Community Health Centre is seeking passionate, dedicated community volunteers .to join the organization’s Board of Directors, starting in June 2022.

For more than three decades, the Board of Directors has worked with Black Creek’s leadership, staff and care teams to provide high-quality healthcare, practical support, programs, and services for racialized and vulnerable individuals of all ages, who live in communities throughout Northwest Toronto.

Our Board Members

• Act as links between the centre and its community
• Ensure the mission and vision statement are part of the centre’s practice
• Receive reports on the operation of the centre to confirm goals are being met

Successful Board Members

• are committed to community improvement
• have ties to the community (must live or work in the community)
• demonstrate leadership
• are team players
• are responsible and reliable
• are interested in organizational oversight

Community Ties Requirement: 

Board members must live, work, or attend school within our catchment area.
(from Humber River to Bathurst and from Wilson Ave to Steeles Ave.)

Time Requirements:

• Must be able to commit ~6 hours per month
• Must be available for board meetings on one Monday evening a month (usually the last Monday of the month)
